Hello! My name is Katie and I am an ESL teacher at H.D. Cooke Elementary in Adams Morgan. I was first introduced to Project Zero 3 years ago, and have enjoyed using thinking routines to design units that teach for global competence. This year I served as a fellow in the Making Across the Curriculum cohort, where I had the opportunity to explore how making could live in my ELA classroom. I am energized by finding ways to make rich and meaningful content accessible to ALL learners, and have found making to be a wonderful access point for our English Learners at Cooke.
