In this course, we will think about communities as systems, using the maker move of Exploring Complexity to look at how Hurricane Maria affected communities in Puerto Rico. Participants will build maps in order to think critically about how parts of a system are connected. We will then look at how this activity was used within a 3rd grade unit of study as a catalyst for student action in the aftermath of the hurricane. Capacity: 10
